The Medical students of AIU have committed to raising awareness of polio in their community. On this day, they started such educational programs as:

Community Involvement – students addressed various communities in Bishkek, informing residents about the risks associated with polio, its signs and symptoms, as well as the importance of vaccination.

Honoring Heroes – this day is also an opportunity to honor the memory of heroes who worked tirelessly to eradicate polio in many parts of the world. Among these heroes are healthcare workers, volunteers and organizations such as WHO, Rotary and CDC gov. 

World Polio Day is a global event that highlights the importance of polio vaccination. It also serves as a reminder of the efforts to eradicate this devastating disease.
