Muhammad Umar, a student of AIU, noted the importance of this holiday during an interview with the Ala-Too 24 information channel:
“We know that kalpak is a national headdress. To be closer to the locals, respecting Kyrgyz traditions, we take part in this holiday, wearing a white kalpak.”
The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Sports and the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
